Windows XP (Home or Professional)

  1. Press the Start button and select "Control Panel"
    The Network Connection Wizard introduces itself
  2. Select "Network and Internet Connections"
    Telling the Network Connection Wizard you'd like to dial-up to the Internet
  3. Select "Set up or change your Internet connection"
  4. The Internet Properties dialog box will appear. Click the "Setup..." button
  5. The New Connection Wizard will start to guide you through setting up the connection. Click "Next"
  6. Make sure "Connect to the Internet" is selected, and click Next:

  7. Select "Set up my Internet connection manually" and click Next:
  8. Make sure "Connect using a dial-up modem" is selected, and click Next:

  9. Type "Elirion" into the ISP name edit box and click Next:
    The Internet Connection Wizard asks which modem you'll be using
  10. Enter the best access number and click Next:

  11. Enter your user name (don't forget the "@elirion.net") and type your password into the two fields. Make sure "Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection" is checked, and click Next:
    The Connection tab of the Advanced Connection Properties dialog lets you select a connection type such as PPP
  12. The New Connection Wizard displays a completion dialog. Click Finish:
    The Addresses tab of the Advanced Connection Properties dialog lets you enter fixed IP and DNS server addresses should you ever need to
