1. Press the Start button and select Settings\Network and Dial-up Connections\Make New Connection
   
2. Select "Dial-up to the Internet"
   
3. The Internet Connection Wizard will start to guide you through setting up the connection
   Select "I want to set up my Internet connection manually" and click Next:
   
4. Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem" and click Next:
   
5. If you have more than one modem in your PC, select the one you'd like to use and click Next:
   
6. Enter the best access number and click Next:
   
7. The Advanced Connection Properties dialog should be set to PPP:
   
8. All addresses in the Advanced Connection Properties dialog should be set to automatic:
   
9. Enter your full dial-up ID and password:
   
10. Enter a name for the connection:
    
11. You can also set up an e-mail account at this point. If you want to check the connection and set up e-mail later, select No and click Next
    
12. You can check the connection by clicking Finish:
