Windows 2000
- Press the Start button and select Settings\Network and Dial-up Connections\Make New Connection
- Select "Dial-up to the Internet"
- The Internet Connection Wizard will start to guide you through setting up the connection
Select "I want to set up my Internet connection manually" and click Next:
- Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem" and click Next:
- If you have more than one modem in your PC, select the one you'd like to use and click Next:
- Enter the best access number and click Next:
- The Advanced Connection Properties dialog should be set to PPP:
- All addresses in the Advanced Connection Properties dialog should be set to automatic:
- Enter your full dial-up ID and password:
- Enter a name for the connection:
- You can also set up an e-mail account at this point. If you want to check the connection and set up e-mail later, select No and click Next
- You can check the connection by clicking Finish:
